The well we are working on now will serve 2000 people and that's a conservative number. Many here are using hand dug wells.

Unable to repair this one, it's open to contamination and we don't have our welder with us. The next team will get this one.
We drove an hour and a half way out into the country to this first village. The people have had no access to clean water since their well was broken. They had been walking down to a river about a mile away until they heard about the cholera outbreak, so know they were walking 2 miles to the nearest well.The pics attac ...

After Haitian coffee, eggs & spam (americas finest canned meat) we're heading back out to well-repair site #1 and finish the job we started Monday.

Great day of rest and worship. The team is great! Tomorrow we're back at it. Pray that we will be able to successfully fish this pump out of the well, and make it useable again!

We made it! Only took 2 hours from FL since we didn't have to stop and refuel in the Bahamas.
Spending the next 3 hours here.

Back to hotel. Getting up at 3:39am to catch tomorrows flight. Good times!

Running last minute errands, then off to the church to pick up some of my homies!
Nine people from River Pointe Church are coming together as a team to repair water wells and teach health & hygiene in the name of Jesus throughout northern Haiti in partnership with Living Water International.
We'll be making the most of $12,000 raised from the children's weekly offering at our church over the last year and a half! Imagine, children's generous pennies and quarters changing the the lives of other children they will never meet!
